Which aluminium decking boards can you buy in the UK?

Prices were read on 30 October 2026. Cladco’s page also shows a figure of £78.00, and we don’t know which is current. The per m² figures are our calculations from price and board area, and they leave out the frame, clips and trims.
What do the vendors claim?
- Alloy and finish: 6063 T6 aluminium with a 100 micron Qualicoat powder coat (FHB Rundle and Wallbarn).
- Fire: FHB Rundle quotes Euroclass A1 and A2fl-s1 for the 30 mm board and A2-fl-s1 for the 18 mm. Cladco says A2-S1. Wallbarn says A2fl-s1 tested to EN 13823, EN 13501 and EN ISO 1716. AliDeck lists A2-s1,d0 and A2fl-s1.
- Slip: FHB Rundle and Cladco describe anti-slip surfaces without a number on the page. Wallbarn’s datasheet gives pendulum values to BS 7976-2:2002 and a DIN 51130 R12 value in a table; read the table in the PDF for which values apply, because we couldn’t extract it cleanly.
- Movement: Wallbarn gives expansion as 0.25 mm per metre for each 10 degrees, and a design life above 25 years.
- Colours: Cladco lists black, anthracite, stone grey, sand in semi-matte, and anodised. Wallbarn offers anthracite only.
How is it fixed?
FHB Rundle’s board uses a hidden fastening system with a 5 mm gap between boards. Cladco sells stainless hidden clips with M4 by 30 mm screws at £8.76 for 100, and a 4 m, 50 by 50 mm aluminium joist at £32.16. AliDeck says its Lite Board spans 600 mm under a 2 kN load, tested to BS 8579:2020. Follow the board maker’s joist centres, not the span of a different board.
Where do aluminium boards make sense?
Vendors position them for places where fire matters or weight is limited. That’s a vendor’s argument, not a test, and the rules for your site still come from building control. Compare with composite boards and aluminium frames for composite decking.

What is aluminium decking?
Decking boards extruded from aluminium, usually 6063 T6 alloy with a powder coat, as an alternative to timber and composite. They're light, non-combustible according to the vendors, and sold in 3.6 m lengths.
How much does aluminium decking cost?
The three boards we found cost £47.94 to £64.68 each including VAT, which works out at about £89 to £124 per m² before the frame and fixings. Those figures are our arithmetic from vendor prices.
Is aluminium decking fire rated?
Vendors say so: FHB Rundle quotes Euroclass A1 and A2fl-s1 on one board, and Cladco and Wallbarn A2-s1 and A2fl-s1. Ask for the test report for your board, because the classes differ between sellers for similar boards.
