How much does composite decking cost per m²?
Boards alone run from about £37 to £92 per m², and the price follows the build. EnviroBuild’s 2026 ranges are:

EnviroBuild says uncapped boards suit covered or sheltered spots because they absorb more moisture and need more upkeep outdoors. MyJobQuote’s table adds installed prices: £65 per m² for uncapped hollow, £85 for capped hollow, £90 for uncapped solid and £110 for capped solid, against materials alone at £35, £55, £60 and £80. PVC is £40 materials and £70 installed. Neither source says whether VAT is included.
What do individual boards cost?
These are the dated seller prices we hold, converted to the same units. VAT is included where the seller states it.

Prices were checked on 2026-10-30, and some are sale prices (Envirobuild’s Explorer, for example). We inferred the “per board” unit for the Cladco boards from the 0.6 m² coverage each page shows. Cladco’s Signature board carries a 10 year residential warranty with no commercial cover, and requires its own clips and subframe, so the cheapest line isn’t the cheapest deck.
Why do prices differ so much?
Four things move the price: hollow or solid, capped or uncapped, board width and thickness, and the warranty. Ecoscape says uncapped boards cost less and have a shorter life, about 20 years against 25 to 30 for capped, although both are the maker’s own estimates. On top of boards you pay for the frame, fixings, edging, delivery and labour.
How do I get the best price?
Convert to per m² before you compare. A 3 m board and a 4 m board at different prices can be the same per m². Check delivery, and the exclusions on the warranty. Our decking calculator adds the frame and fixings, and cheaper composite lists the lower-priced boards with their trade-offs.
A composite supplier, Ultra Decking, lists boards at £37 to £80 or more per m² in its 2026 guide; it sells the product, so use it as a cross-check only.

Where can I find the best price on composite decking?
Compare per m² or per metre, not per board, because lengths and widths differ. Then check what the price excludes, and whether the warranty depends on clips or a subframe sold with it. Prices change, so confirm with the seller on the day.
